Wait.., What?

It helps protect you and your business, your hard work and it’s the law. And the fact that it is the law to have proper legal pages is excellent because it helps protect you in so many more ways that I haven’t mentioned, it’s better than insurance.

Wait…, what??

O.k. it is just as good or at least up there with the security of knowing you have insurance except you don’t have to repay for your legal documents every year like you do insurance to stay protected. 

What Kind of Lawyer Do I NEED?!?!

I started my blog about a year ago, faced with the realization that I needed legal pages for my blog so I would be legal and have a better chance of being accepted by my favorite affiliate programs; in my mind I was like, oh man where am I going to find that? All kinds of questions ran through my mind like…,

• • What kind of lawyer do I need?
  • What should I ask?
  • Will they know what I am talking about?
  • I am not even sure about what I need and what to ask for…,
  • What if I need something and don’t ask will they know that I need it and still write it in the legal docs?
  • What if I waste $250 an hour with a lawyer just to walk out empty-handed or worse?
  • What do I need in my legal pages if I participate in affiliate marketing or get a sponsorship?
  • Will my readers be able to understand the legal jargon?

I don’t know what to do… What should I do?

Overwhelmed…,

The whole thought of it overwhelmed me. Why couldn’t I find a lawyer that blogged? A blogging lawyer that was approachable would be ideal.

So I thought I’ll just ignore it until I launch my blog I don’t need it this very second and hopefully I’ll be able to afford it when I need it and the right person will just surface at the right time.

It was nuts, a stressful feeling of just sickness and worry. It was crazy, now that I look back, everything seems to come together at just the right moment.

I found a blogging lawyer who is approachable and sells legal page templates for bloggers, online entrepreneurs and yes hobbyists. I found her in one of my blogging course support groups.

Everything I asked for which made my decision to purchase so much easier. It was a no brainier for me because I knew…,

• that I was in good hands.

• if someone decided to sue me half way around the world they would have to go through arbitration instead and have to travel to my state to file and pursue it. Which I didn’t even know could happen until a business law class, a requirement of my business minor.

So I was super excited to have found fair priced legal pages for my blog and website, written by a lawyer who is also a blogger so she knew everything I needed, she already knew all the questions I would have or should have asked. It was perfect and I’ve used her templates for two of my blogs and one of my websites. Worth every penny!

40 Minutes

It took me about 40 minutes to set up my disclaimer, privacy policy including terms and conditions templates. And that was because I wasn’t sure of what to put here and there, like what is my business name, if I do not have a legal business name yet, plus the copying and pasting the information into the DIVI builder for my blog.

I was still learning how to use the program at the time so that slowed me down a bit, but my second blog took maybe 15 minutes to complete.

I reached out to Amira to help me fill out some blanks, and she was awesome. I had a few questions while filling out the templates;  She got back to me to fast and was really patience with me.

It was a great experience, so I became an affiliate and always suggested her bundle and other legal documents to my blogger and online business friends.
